Making the Most out of your Ph.D.
Seda is a researcher and Ph.D. candidate in Finance at Bogazici University. Her research interests are around pension funds, emerging markets, behavioral finance, and empirical asset pricing. During her research career, Seda has been involved in pension-related projects with several institutions, including the OECD, Pensions Scholarship Trust, and MIT University. In the last five years, her works on pension funds and auto-enrollment systems have been published by the International Journal of Finance & Banking Studies, OECD, Pensions Institute, and Investment and Pensions Europe. As of 2021, Seda has also been affiliated with the Arc Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR) in Australia.
In this week’s graduate seminar, Seda Peksevim will share her experiences during her Ph.D. studies at the Department of Management at Boğaziçi University, including exploring potential research topics, participating in research conferences/seminars, applying for research grants, publishing a journal article, and communicating with other Ph.D. candidates/scholars.
